Limited Time Offer: Preferred Orchestra/Front Mezz seats!
After an uproarious six-year run on Broadway, Avenue Q has moved to the more intimate New World Stages Off-Broadway, conveniently located in Manhattan's theater district. Winner of the Tony "triple crown" (Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book), Avenue Q is a laugh-out-loud musical about a young kid fresh out of college who lands in New York City full of hope and looking to make it big. He can't afford to live on Avenue A, so he rents a place on the shabbier Avenue Q and soon finds his way among the neighborhood's colorful denizens, including a sweet girl next door, a therapist with no clients, an actual monster who loves the Internet, a building superintendent who happens to be TV's Gary Coleman, and many more.
Using puppets in a modern, creative way that blends them into the action with on-stage actors, Avenue Q offers a fresh take on a story we've all lived, as we look for a new beginning in an unknown city. Written by Robert Lopez, Jeff Marx and Jeff Whitty, the show features such inspired songs as "It Sucks to be Me," "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist," "The Internet is for Porn" and "I Wish I Could Go Back to College."
